Thomas von Petersdorff-Campen

Thomas von Petersdorff-Campen studied law in Göttingen, Lausanne and Los Angeles (LL.M.). He completed his legal training in Hamburg and was admitted to the bar in 1984. Until 1994 Thomas von Petersdorff-Campen worked as a company lawyer and head of the legal department of a Munich film company and has since then, in his role as lawyer, been advising clients in the media, culture and creative industries (film and television productions, trading of rights, television broadcasters (including IP-TV), internet platforms and providers as well as book and magazine publishers. He specialises in copyright, press and publishing law with interfaces to trademark and competition law, media law and telecommunications and data protection law.
Thomas von Petersdorff-Campen also represents his clients in legal disputes and has many years’ forensic experience. He has written on copyright and media law topics and is co-author of “Hamburger Kommentar Gesamtes Medienrecht” (commentary on media law). All relevant publications recommend him as a media law expert (e.g. Best Lawyers Ranking; US trade magazine/Handelsblatt).
