Career:
born in 1960 in Stuttgart, business management training in retail trade after Abitur (A-levels), law studies in Hamburg and Heidelberg, doctorate and post doctoral qualification at Bayreuth University, LL.M. University of Edinburgh; professor at Leipzig University since 1998.

Publications:
Author of numerous publications on copyright law in the information society and licensing law questions; Co-editor of a handbook on copyright contracts law (Berger/Wündisch, Urhebervertragsrecht, 2. ed. 2015); co-author of two textbooks on property and insolvency law; co-editor of the magazine for insolvency law (ZInsO).
